AeroSpec is seeking a Machine Shop Support Technician to support daily operations in our precision machining department. This role is ideal individuals looking to start a career in machining or retired machinists who want to stay active in a shop environment without the pressure of a full production role

This position assists our machinists with basic machining tasks, material preparation, and general shop support to help keep production running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate band saws and cutting equipment to prepare raw material for machining
• Perform deburring, cleaning, and finishing of machined parts
• Move and stage materials for upcoming jobs
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with shop safety practices
• Assist with inventory of raw materials and shop supplies
• Support machinists and shop leadership with general shop tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings is helpful
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
